Daycare
At Playtime Day Nursery we provide daycare in 7 different rooms (not including Pre-school and Out of Schools Club), enabling us to have age and stage appropriate facilities and activities.
Our Rooms
Baby, Waddler and Toddler rooms care for children aged 6 months to 2 years with a total of 36 places.
Under 2 year olds are cared for in groups up to 12 children. For every 3 children there will be 1 adult caring for and supporting their needs.
At this age young babies and children follow their own individual routines; sleeping when they need to and eating when they are ready to eat. Dinners are kept aside and reheated, if baby is asleep when dinner has been served to others.
The Stroller and Jogger meets the needs of children aged 2 to 3 years with up to 36 spaces.
2-3 year olds are cared for in groups up to 20 children. For every 5 children there will be 1 adult caring for and supporting their needs.
3 and 4 year olds are developed and challenged in the Runner and Sprinter rooms with a total of 44 spaces.
3-4 year olds are cared for in groups up to 26 children. For every 8 children there will be 1 adult caring for and supporting their needs.
Each room is self contained i.e. have their own toileting/changing facilities and sleep rooms/facilities.
Freshly prepared food from the kitchen including a hot dinner is brought to the room. Sample menu
All rooms have a scheduled time for physical play either outside or in the adjoining community hall. This is an integral part of our daily routine. Parents are asked send a suitable coat with your child everyday for their participation in this aspect of our daily routine.
While there is no formal curriculum at this age, all our rooms carry out planning and observations to ensure that the activities meet the needs and interests of each individual child.
